Where To Go When You Want Best Bengali Food in Delhi
Being born to a Bengali father and Punjabi mother, I have been exposed to both cultures since I was little and in turn, to both Punjabi and Bengali food recipes. To be honest, making me choose between one of these foods style is like asking me the unconstructive question that sometimes relatives would ask just to put you in the spot, “Who do you like more, your mom or dad?” I remember going to my masi’s (mother’s sister) place and having chole bhature then come back home to maach bhath. Or sometimes, moori ghonto, aloo posto, and many more dishes you find in a typical Bengali household. I am drooling just thinking about it. To share a little bite of what I am experiencing, we have listed some of the authentic places where you can experience a bit of the Bengali culture in a platter around Delhi.
Aami Bangali
'Aami Bangali' literally translated means ‘I am Bengali’. This is a place that we have recently discovered because it is still relatively new and they serve authentic Bengali food, it’s like home-made Bengali food, really. The seating area is also well decorated and well lit, making it perfect for a nice family outing.

Madly Bangalee
Bengali food is comparatively much lighter. What I mean by this is that they use less spice and make their more comforting rather than rich and full of spices. However, Madly Bangalee has balanced the spicy factor in their dishes to appeal to North Indian taste buds or people who generally like more spicy food. So, I would recommend this place if it's your first time trying Bengali food. It is a good place where you can start acclimating yourself to Bong food.

'Amar Shonar Bangla' which means 'My golden Bengal'. This is another place where you can find authentic Bengali food. The food here is not too rich but is adequately flavoured. Personally, we also liked the yellow sitting room which is looking over from the first floor to the busy street of 2 number market of C.R.Park. Thus, adding to the ambience of this place.
